OC33 Douglas fir plywood with black wash and water-based lacquer finish
12 x 19 x 15"

The stacks of plywood scraps have been building up on our shelves lately... So we simply took one pile and glued all the pieces together into a table-size block. The outer surface was carved with a chainsaw, following the irregular shape of the stack, creating this faceted, sculptural mass. Then a black wash finish, sealed with clear lacquer. This is a small simple piece but has a real presence.
