Calling on the tradition of the tape-woven Shaker chair, the seat and back of this piece feature various TWM fabrics cut and resituated to simulate the over-under of the Shaker tape weave. The chair frame is made from narrow hardwood strips of American Elm, cut to square, and then joined in an overlapping style - the most basic iteration the traditional ladderback form.
