Further explorations in utilizing our piles of leftover douglas fir plywood, a material that we have a lot of - luckily it's also very functional and beautiful in its own way, especially when the grain is highlighted with a subtle whitewash finish. The simple construction and boxy silhouette of this piece suggest the stripped down essence of a chair. The back cushion - with a cover made from the scrap of repurposed Turkish kilim rug - gives it a welcome bit of softness and comfort.
