OC23 Bent plywood with walnut veneer, solid walnut, and black enamel
12" long x 7.5 wide x 5" tall
One of a kind
Something unusual in the scrap pile this week, circular cutoffs from some pre-bent plywood cylinders we used to make pedestal table bases. We decided to split one of them into segments and utilize the curved, dish-like shape to make the interior of a fruit bowl. The plywood form is cradled by two pieces of walnut shaped to reference a traditional vessel, lined with some figured walnut veneer we found in storage. Great for fruit, but could be used as a catch-all container for keys, change, jewelry, etc. More of these to come.
