We are seeing a lot of these decorative details in our custom projects these days - round columns and pedestal table bases, fluted tambour detailing - which means we have lots of leftover material to play with. This week we turn a couple of round cutoffs into multifunctional bowls, elevated on simple oak feet and wrapped around the outside with oak tambour. A coat of black paint still lets the grain and texture of the wood show through.
