These candlestick holders started with a box of old salvaged stair spindles that have been floating around the shop for years. We loved the beautiful silhouette and textured material, and thought it would be a great opportunity to start introducing other found (in the shop) objects into Offcut designs. We embraced the timeless appeal of the shape by turning them into candle stands - another traditional use for this form - cutting shorter segments and adding simple round bases with a cove detail. More variations to come as we play around with this charming material.
