The wooden cutting board has got to be the most time-honored use for cutoff scrap lumber. Here is one take on it, using some nice walnut pieces that were leftover trimmings from a live edge tabletop. The circular shape is cut down the middle by the organic natural edge of the board, showing off the contrast between the rich brown heartwood and the pale stripe of sapwood. A through hole allows the board to be wall hung for practicality or display.
